From 28 to 3 September 2023, Ricatla was once again the focus of the business community, with the holding of the 58th edition of the International Fair of Maputo – FACIM, an event in which the INP once again marked its presence.
Under the motto "Diversification of the National Economy in the Context of Continental Integration", the 58th edition of FACIM revealed the country's productive and export potential, as well as promoting business and investment opportunities in the various segments of Mozambique's economic activity.
According to data from the organizers of the event, this edition had the participation of more than 10,000 people, above 2,500 exhibitors from inside and outside the country, as well as national and foreign companies.
The participation of the INP in the event is part of the plan to extend the national and international projection of the institution in order to disseminate the potential of the national oil industry.
To this end, material and human resources have already been mobilized in the FACIM complex so that the INP will carry out, throughout the event, an exhibition entirely dedicated to the presentation of business opportunities throughout the value chain of natural gas projects in implementation in Mozambique, as well as the latest developments in the areas granted in the 6th Competitions for Research Areas and Hydrocarbon Production.
The Chairman of the INP’s Board of Directors, Nazário Bangalane, is making a positive assessment of the performance of the INP in this edition, taking into account that one of the aims of the fair was to promote trade and economic integration of the country in the world. " The event was an important platform for the projection and dissemination of the country's potential in terms of the availability of natural gas, considered cleaner energy and will play a major role in the context of the energy transition," said Bangalane, commenting on the event in Maputo.
During the intervention, at the opening of the event, the President of the Republic, Filie Jacinto Nyusi said that the event provides investors with the opportunity to interact, through thematic seminars and meetings in the b-2-b format with the aim of promoting trade opportunities, investments and partnerships. Nyusi also added that the country's economy is viable and ready to put its potential into the continental economy.
It should be noted that the INP held a seminar on Development and Investment Opportunities in the Oil Industry in Mozambique, having captured the attention of several Feira users.
FACIM is an annual event organised by the Agency For the Promotion of Investment and Export – APIEX, constituting a multisectoral exhibition and one of the largest commercial events in the country, with international dimension and projection.
